The company changes its name to Assicurazioni Generali. St. Mark's lion is adopted as company symbol

Establishment of Genertel, the first telephone selling insurer in Italy

Generali takes over control of two leading groups, AMB and Migdal, strengthening its position in Germany and Israel

Following the creation of Banca Generali and the acquisition of BSI, the Group enters the PFS sector

At the end of a takeover bid, Generali gains control over the Italian insurer INA

Generali China Life Ins. Co. is established in Canton
